## **Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated **Junior Accountant** with 1–2 years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Accounting and have practical experience in accounts payable, sales invoicing, bank reconciliations, and basic financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work within established financial policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Accounting and have practical experience in accounts payable, sales invoicing, bank reconciliations, and basic financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work within established financial policies and procedures.
## **Key Responsibilities**
### **1. Accounts Payable (AP)**
- Review, verify, and process supplier invoices.
- Ensure proper supporting documentation and approvals are attached.
- Record payable transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare payment schedules and assist in payment processing.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
### **2. Sales Invoicing (Accounts Receivable Support)**
- Prepare and issue sales invoices accurately and on time.
- Ensure invoices are supported by contracts or approved documentation.
- Record revenue transactions properly in the accounting system.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables when required.
### **3. Bank Reconciliation**
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
- Maintain proper documentation of reconciliations.
### **4. Reporting Support**
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
- Support in preparing schedules and reconciliations for closing.
- Maintain organized financial records for audit purposes.
- Provide data and analysis when requested by the Finance Manager.
## **Qualifications & Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- 1–2 years of accounting experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or local standards).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, reconciliation sheets).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
## **Preferred Skills**
- Experience in NGO or non-profit environment (if applicable).
- Basic understanding of internal controls.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
